Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata Season 2 Release Date

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date

Here’s a show with an interesting theme: about a workaholic otaku with a dream to create a new dating game, but suddenly falls in love.

The story kicks off on a sunny spring day in which the wind blows the hat off of a fair maiden, which of course Tomoya was there to pick it up for her, and give it back. That event was what inspired Tomoya to make a dating SIM, he also envisioned that, that exact event would serve to be a flawless opening scene with the maiden as the main character. And as far as we know the “perfect girl” doesn’t exist, because Tomoya later finds out that in reality the maiden wasn’t very “fair,” in fact, apart from her beauty, she’s just about the most ordinary girl ever. And so, the operation to transform a quiet girl into a sexy and attractive lady begins.

Talking about the quality, personally, Saekano was a show I enjoyed a lot, despite not being a fan of either the ecchi or harem genres. While I watched alone, it was fun to discuss the random shenanigans that transpired in the show with other viewers, as well as to mindlessly debate who the best girl was. That speaks volumes about the freshness of the anime, with its niche humour, clichés, and tasteful fanservice, as well as the quality of its characters. That’s not to say that this anime doesn’t have any faults, however. There was some questionable pacing in the final episodes, as well as some overwhelming Michiru fanservice, but generally Saekano was very consistent. Saekano won’t be a show to wow the viewer, but it was twenty minutes of fun every week for me. I came for a quirky romantic comedy, but stayed for Utaha Kasumigaoka’s cuteness – something I thought I’d never say about an anime! I recommend Saekano, whether you like or dislike the ecchi harem genre. Don’t be scared off by the genre tags. I’m sure there’s a heroine to capture your appeal!

There is a slim chance but if you ask me, yes, it’s possible that the authors of Sakaeno: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend will decide to follow with a sequel. And that should come out in the summer of 2015.
